On 13 September 2019, IEEE published a version of the IEEE National Electric Safety Code (NESC) in simplified Chinese. The document is adapted from the 2017 IEEE NESC® Handbook Premier Edition and available in IEEE Xplore. The Chinese version is available through subscription.
The NESC sets the ground rules for practical safeguarding of persons during the installation, operation, or maintenance of electric supply and communication lines and associated equipment. It is considered to be the authoritative source on best electrical engineering practices. It contains the basic provisions that are considered necessary for the safety of employees and the public under the specified conditions.
