IEEE congratulates Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus, and Alexei I. Ekimov on winning the 2023 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The prize was awarded jointly to the three scientists “for the discovery and development of quantum dots, nanoparticles so tiny that their size determines their properties.”

IEEE announced today that 12 of IEEE’s new fully open access journals launched in 2020 were accepted for indexing by Clarivate and received their first Journal Impact Factors according to the 2022 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) from Clarivate, released in late June 2023.

IEEE was recently named a recipient of the 2023 Power of Associations Summit Award for IEEE DataPort, its online data platform that allows users to store, search and manage datasets across a broad scope of topics, encouraging collaboration and supporting open data initiatives.
IEEE DataPort has more than 4.7 million global users and over 4,600 datasets available.
