Security is a major issue for IoT devices. Because devices are interconnected, hackers only have to infiltrate one to compromise an entire network. To address this, researchers developed a traffic-aware patching scheme that could help limit the spread of large-scale cyber attacks. This system involves two phases, Detection – of infected nodes of malicious software and Patching – the nodes that are most critical in preventing a malware spread.
